The Trapshooting Hall of Fame, Inc., is pleased to announce the exciting look of our new logo. The novel appearance is not really a new one as it closely resembles one of several models submitted in 1969 when the Trapshooting Hall of Fame, Inc. was formed. Large replicas of this design were constructed into centerpieces that adorned each table at the very first Hall of Fame Induction ceremony.
Suitably, a trap field with shotguns will provide at a glance, instant recognition of our great sport. Additionally, we trust that supporters will appreciate that many years ago the Trapshooting Hall of Fame, Inc. was incorporated (1975) as a 501 (c) (3) not for profit organization, and has been under the direction of a Board of Trustees since that time.
Our friends at TechPro created the conceptual design for our new appearance and will continue to assist with its management. Much time and effort has been given to retain the old information in a professional and innovative expression. Searching for information is made quickly with less effort.
Future plans call for the systematic replacement of vintage photographs in high resolution to improve quality. We also hope to encourage our visitors to “Share Your Photo” and “Share Your Story” thus capturing and preserving these important pieces of our history forever.
Monthly and other updates will now be made efficiently since Hall of Fame staff have been trained to assist with this endeavor. We sincerely welcome you to our wonderful new but historic trapshooting exhibit. Enjoy!
The Trapshooting Hall of Fame invites you to make a donation, receive recognition on their webpage and in T&F.Also, you can receive some great thank you items.Click here to see the HOF Annual Gift Letter
Some years ago, a gentleman from out West sent me a wonderful handwritten letter, telling me how much trapshooting had meant to him and his family over the years. I am a Trustee of the Trapshooting Hall of Fame and have shared with our Museum Director, Kenny Ray Estes, the idea of finding a way to encourage other older trapshooters to do the same. We are not asking for a recitation of scores or wins as much as we are in what role trapshooting has played in the life of an individual and a family. I'm sure you all will agree that some who may not have won many trophies over the years will nevertheless reap the intangible rewards of our sport such as friendships, sportsmanship, family togetherness, etc. As my late father, Herb Parsons, used to say, "You show me a good sportsman, and I'll give you a great American."
- Dr. H. Lynn Parsons
So if you feel so inclined on some cold winter's day - or know others who might do so - we would love to hear from you.
